Si! I rather do like her books Andy, what on Earth gave you that impression?

There’s a light thread of a story running through four of the books, in that they are all about the daughters of the Walsh family. I’m pretty sure that there are five girls – so I’ve got my fingers crossed that the next book will be about the youngest. Okay, yes I do need to get a life

The order goes:

1 Watermelon
2 Rachel’s Holiday
3 Angels
4 Anybody Out There?

‘Mammy Walsh’ will have you in stitches and make you wish she was your mother & thank your lucky stars that she’s not, in equal measure!

Oh yes i’ll second that….feel another (help!) purchase coming on. Good point about bookstores….there was a feature on TV about the closure of many small bookshops so I feel the need to support them instead of my monthly visit to Amazon!

Hi Jack,
I was made up Cristopher Waltz won best supporting actor, I thought he was brilliant, I have not seen or even heard of the Sandra Bullock film so that was a surprise and one to look out for.

Hi Lilian, I agree. I sometimes think ‘feeling foreign’ is more a state of mind than a geographical entity. I recently travelled to a neighbouring island for the first time and found a whole different world!!
I adored Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur & Langkawi) and Singapore when I travelled there; such diversity within a short distance!

For me, anywhere away from West Malaysia and Singapore, is a foreign travel to me. Even, East Malaysia seems different enough to be considered as a trip “overseas”!

Thanks for the heads up on Owl City – I really like ‘Fireflies’ but did wonder what other sounds they could pull out of the bag to make a whole album. Will just stick to the single as you suggested.

I will look out for the Massive Attack track with Guy Garvey on – I love him!
